The Digilent USB-ERB08 ; Electromechanical Interface; 8CH; Product is a robust relay interface device designed to support Form C electromechanical relays, making it ideal for demanding data acquisition applications. It features eight channels, each equipped with single-pole double-throw (SPDT) relays that are directly controlled via digital I/O lines. The device is housed in a durable enclosure that can be mounted on a DIN rail or a bench, ensuring versatility in various installation environments.
This interface supports configurations as two banks of four relays, with onboard switches that allow users to configure the logic polarity and power-on state for each relay group. These settings can be easily read back using the provided software. The USB-ERB08 is equipped with screw terminals for field wiring connections, offering three connections to each relay: normally open, normally closed, and common.
The device includes USB out and power out connections, facilitating the powering and control of multiple MCC USB devices in a daisy-chain configuration from a single external power source and USB port. It is powered by an external 9 V regulated power supply, which is included with the product.
